During our recent lunchtime visit, we were graciously hosted by Sydney, whose warm demeanor, attentiveness, and professionalism elevated our meal from pleasant to truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, Sydney made us feel exceptionally welcome. She guided us through the menu with thoughtful suggestions, displaying both knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for the offerings. Throughout our time there, she struck the perfect balance—present and attentive without ever being intrusive. Her brief and personable exchanges added a lovely human touch to the service, enhancing the overall atmosphere. The restaurant's interior is thoughtfully designed, with semi-private, cubicle-style seating that comfortably accommodates four guests. The plush sofas offered generous legroom and provided a level of comfort rarely found in similar establishments. The layout is intelligently conceived—uncluttered and airy—with décor that is simple yet quietly elegant. As for the cuisine, it was nothing short of excellent. We enjoyed a well-paced and beautifully presented meal, including soup, a shared appetizer, two mains, and a pot of tea to conclude. Each dish arrived at the perfect interval, maintaining a rhythm that allowed us to savor each course without feeling rushed or delayed. The flavors were superb—thoughtfully balanced and prepared with care. The service, ambiance, and culinary execution were all of the highest calibre. We left thoroughly satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit. Block and Blade is a standout gem in Sage Creek, and we recommend it most highly to anyone seeking an elevated yet approachable dining experience."

"Nov 19, 2025 Came for dinner and the place was quite busy which is nice to see for the local neighbour bar and restaurant. We were seated at the bar top until a table opened up. I had a spicy Caesar and water while we waited. It comes with a pickle spear and piece of a pepperoni stick. I found the drink very salty. I ordered the French onion soup and the beet rocket salad and my husband had the double Block burger. The soup was very good, a bit too salty for my taste buds and my slice of cheese had sunken into the soup so I thought it was missing at first. The salad was loaded with diced beets and goat cheese. It was quite filling so I took the rest home. My husband said his burger was good, a little dry and seemed to crumble/fall apart in the centre as if the patty consistency wasn't the same throughout. It was his birthday so they gifted him a lovely pumpkin cheesecake dessert with ice cream. The service was adequate, not attentive. Nice ambiance. Solid local restaurant."

"I went to Block & Blade for my birthday with my girlfriend and overall had a good experience. I was really looking forward to getting ribs, but unfortunately I was told that the cooker wasn’t working and steak or chicken weren’t available, which was disappointing especially on a birthday. Because of that, I ended up ordering a burger instead. That said, the food I did get was good, and the staff was friendly and attentive. They also brought out a complimentary dessert for my birthday, which was a nice gesture, even though I felt a bit more could’ve been done given the circumstances. Overall, still a solid spot with good food and welcoming service, just hoping for a fuller menu next time."

"Had an out-of-town client ask me to pick up lunch on my way out. Hadn't heard of this restaurant. We ordered the Gochujang Bowl and Apple and Cranberry Salad. Both were phenomenal and traveled very well. There were a lot of of other things on the menu that I'd like to try. I will definitely be back. Update: Took my husband tonight. Ate in this time. Great food. Great service. The restaurant is really nice inside. We live just North of the city but it only took about 20 minutes to get here down 59, so not as far as it feels like it will be."

"All the food was exquisite, starting with the Blocktails, we tried them all, and each one was better than the last. We ordered the Angus steak with chicken and another with added shrimp. Although we asked for the Angus medium and it arrived well done, they immediately offered compensation: we took a properly cooked medium steak home, and they even treated us to a dessert. The cranberry and apple salad and the truffle fries were absolutely delicious. Excellent service! we’ll definitely be back."

"Had a wonderful experience here. Our food tasted amazing nothing like I've had before. Our server was kind and bubbly even though we got there at 11:40 and kitchen closes before 12:00. Had our food very fast. Only slight complain I would have was the music was a bit load when trying to speak with the person from across the table otherwise environment was fantastic bathrooms were clean and tidy. I would recommend this place forsure and most likely will be back"

"We just came home from a wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter. There were 5 of us in for dinner and it was a fantastic experience. My other daughter has a peanut/tree nut allergy and they handled it perfectly. All 5 meals were delicious with one exception, there was a jamb topping on the Cajun chicken that had a texture that my wife did not enjoy. The hot honey flatbread was great, the apple Brie chicken sandwich was also awesome. I had the chicken and rib combo and was very impressed. Our server was excellent, she was very attentive and even took the time to take a few photos of our group for us. If you are looking for somewhere to have a great meal that has an awesome atmosphere that won’t break the bank, I would highly recommend Block and Blade. Well done guys!!!"
